Accounts Executive - QHSE

Job Position Summary

• Provide an overview of the primary purpose and function of this job.
• The job function is to manage daily accounting operations linked to the new EU-ETS scheme adherence.

Key Roles and Responsibilities  

• Describe primary roles and responsibilities of the job.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and ship qwners to ensure their accounting requirements are fulfilled
• Responsible for the management of accounts related to the EU-ETS scheme for the owner’s vessels.
• Collaborate with the vessel owners to identify new cost implications of the EU ETS scheme.
• Accountable for providing decision support to relevant internal stakeholders through financial analysis.
• Derive high level insights from analysis of historical financials and future projections to guide decision making process of relevant internal stakeholders, and align business decisions with financial implications
• Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to examine and address causes of variance in budget or forecasts, and present findings to Senior Management
• Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications   Indicate the minimum and preferred education and experience for this job and any licenses and certifications required.

• 5-7 years experience bookkeeping in a corporate accounting function
• In-depth knowledge and experience in the discipline of Accounting and Finance
• Past working experience in Shipping industry or Ship Management Company is preferred
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills
• Client relationship management skills
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office and Microsoft 365
• Fluent in Spoken and Written English
