Job Position Summary
The job function is to manage and supervise the EU-ETS team tasked with ensuring FLEET and it’s vessels are compliant with all tax implications linked to the new EU-ETS scheme.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Ensuring that the correct Agreement template is selected and completed, based on each owner’s and ship’s details
• Communicating with the owner to convey completed documentation and respond to Owner’s queries
• Supervising the EU-ETS team (including the accounting staff and the assistant)
• Knowing how to obtain data from PARIS NOVA, account for EUA’s accrued
• View Trading and MOHA accounts to check receipt of EUAs per ship / Owner
• Following up with each owner for EUAs to be transferred timely
• Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential:
• Ideally 10+ years work experience working witihn industry or government regulation/tax/compliance environment.
• Past working experience in Shipping industry or Ship Management Company is preferred
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills
• Team management experience
• Client relationship management skills
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office and Microsoft 365
• Fluent in Spoken and Written English
