Job Position Summary
Responsible for recruitment & planning of engineers ranks as per the company selection matrix, with proper valid certification, and to ensure that recruitment is as per the budgetary constraints set up by management.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
-Responsible for independent Planning of Sr. Engineers in DRY Fleet vessels.
-Liaising with all the branch offices and maintaining the availability list for their reporting seafarers and retaining them by placing on vessels timely.
-To co-ordinate with in-house and external training facilities for relevant training and certification of officers.
-Liaising with operations/candidates for smooth joining.
-Updating Documents on Paris System.
-Preparation of Checklist.
-PR with onboard seafarer’s families and liaising for their Visas at the time of family joining.
-Advising the on-leave officers to revalidate their expiring documents before their next contract.
-To maintain pool of officers and retention of officer.
-Ensure crew management system is updated by regular checks on seafarer's data entry in the company's crewing software.
-Maintaining and updating recruitment planners. To forecast requirement of officers for vessels to avoid untimely and unplanned crew reliefs which lead to unwarranted expenses.
-Handling & Coordinating with International Manning Offices Staff and Other Nationality Officers for their joining formalities.
-Travel arrangements, accommodations for seafarers at the time of their trainings.
-To Maintain KPI and Deployment list.
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
- Degree holder of any faculty with minimum 3years of work experience in shipping industry
- Experience in Planning 3-4 years. Experience in shipping industry dealing with sea-based requirements.
- Individual contributor role
- Experience in leveraging online sourcing techniques and using Social Networking, user groups and industry associations for targeting and attracting passive talent
- Excellent knowledge of Internet-based recruiting tools
- Experience in leveraging a Referral network in a corporate environment
- Program management experience for sustained talent attraction drives
