Job Position Summary

Supervising/handling marine insurance claims and assisting the Head/Manager with projects assigned to

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in compilation of claims, primarily H&M, P&I and FD&D claims under supervision.
• Assist with appointment of local correspondents/agents and follow-up on mitigation measures.
• Assist in managing claims related to corporate policies, personal insurances, and seafarers’ insurances, including claim issues thereof.
• Maintain updated list of contact points.
• Assist in dealing with day-to-day operational queries.
• Processing of invoices in a timely manner in relation to the claims.  
• Assist in preparation of claims reports and statistics, and attending claims meeting as required.
• Undertaking any other duties as may be requested by the department Head.

 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
• Law or Shipping Degree from a recognized Institute or University;
• Preferred 2 years’ experience in marine insurance 
• Good understanding of marine insurance and practice;
• Competent language skills in English and Chinese (verbal and written), Mandarin will be an advantage;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
