Job Position Summary
•To work in the capacity of a clinical psychologist for Cadets.
•To conduct clinical assessments - MMPI2, MCMI, MIPS, ROR and other screenings as required.
•Profile and map personality patterns and highlight mental health concerns of cadets. 
•Detailed report writing for documentation and analysis
•To create database for analysis of trends
•To assist in research practices as and when applicable
•To employ effective counselling techniques like CBT, REBT as needed. 

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Overviewing the pre-joining psychological assessments done and to ensure comprehensive reporting
2. In case of any psychiatric conditions reported on vessel, to provide psychological intervention for Cadets/ TME
3. Assessment and clinical case conceptualization of the condition
4. Conducting regular telephonic intervention/ therapy 
5. Cognitive behavior therapy for cases of depressive disorders or anxiety disorders
6. Behavior therapy and psychoeducation in case of insomnia or other sleep disorders
7. Conducting post- intervention evaluation and status updates 
8. Provide confidential counselling for seafarers affected by stress caused by either work or external factors.
9. Providing required psychological support & ensuring regular follow up 
10. To conduct relevant psychometric assessment post incident, such as
    a.(TCI)Temperament Character Inventory to conceptualize temperament of risk taking, harm avoidance and cooperativeness
    b.MMPI- Minnesota Multiphasic personality Inventory- 2 for personality profiling
    c.Assessment and intervention for PTSD Post -Traumatic Stress disorder 
11. Preparing follow up report after intervention and maintaining required documents.
12. Developing timely infographics on mental health and wellness for seafarers and family members
13. Liaison with crisis response network- provide necessary support and feedback.
14. Carry out mental health campaigns, analysis and trending and share the same with stakeholders.


Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
• Post-Graduation in Clinical psychological 
• Experience or Internship of adult/Adolescent psychology
• Knowledge of - MMPI2, MCMI, MIPS, ROR and other screenings as required
