Job Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity practices across our 20+ global offices and over 650 vessels under management.
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will assist in strengthening our defence mechanisms by addressing cybersecurity across people, processes, and technology. This role contributes to Fleet’s commitment to superior digital security on our platforms and reports to the Senior Cybersecurity Manager

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be doing
Supporting Cybersecurity Initiatives
•    Support the planning and implementation of strategic cybersecurity initiatives to enhance FML's security framework
•    Participate in cross-functional teams to execute projects that address specific security needs or gaps identified in assessments
•    Ensure compliance with international cybersecurity standards and frameworks within all operational areas

Identifying Improvement Opportunities
•    Conduct comprehensive evaluations of cybersecurity practices to identify gaps and areas susceptible to improvements
•    Propose and document enhancements to security frameworks and control measures to strengthen FML's resilience against cyber threats
•    Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to integrate security best practices into processes and IT projects

Security Monitoring and Threat Intelligence
•    Assist the monitoring of security access logs and alerts to detect potential incidents, and escalate detected threats according to established protocols to ensure prompt containment and remediation
•    Gather and analyse threat intelligence to anticipate security breaches and inform preventative strategies
•    Communicate actionable intelligence and incident insights to relevant stakeholders to enhance defensive actions and overall security posture

 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

ESSENTIAL
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT security field
•    Demonstrated ability to assist with the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity policies and practices.
•    Experience with modern security systems and tools, such as
    o    Next-generation firewalls (NGFW),
    o    Extended detection and response (XDR) platforms,
    o    Software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE),
    o    Security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and
    o    Endpoint and vulnerability management solutions
•    Experience with cloud security best practices and tools in environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
•    Good analytical skills and ability to work with complex security systems and software
•    Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English

DESIRABLE
•    Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or SSCP
•    Working understanding of international frameworks and standards such as ISO9000, 270001 and PCI/DSS
•    Azure, AWS or GCP certifications
•    Understanding of Maritime industry and OT systems context
•    A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
