Key Roles and Responsibilities

A typical working day will likely include the following activities:
Project Planning & Execution
Lead and manage multiple IT projects – some in direct ownership, others in collaboration with Development, Operations and Analytics teams
Shape and refine project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
Coordinate across project teams, ensuring effective communication, task assignment, and progress tracking
Proactive monitoring and management of project risks, issues, and dependencies implementing mitigation strategies as necessary
Follow defined project governance frameworks to ensure projects keep affected teams updated
Conduct thorough reviews of project deliverables to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
Technical/Cloud Expertise
Apply your strong understanding of IT foundations covering areas such as Infrastructure, Software Development Lifecycle and Product Management
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implementation of solutions to agreed time and quality
Provide technical guidance and support to team members addressing challenges and facilitating problem-solving to remove blockers that may arise
Teamwork & Vendor Management
Work across the Digital/IT team on complex use-cases translating technical concepts and communicating in a way others find easy to understand
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Directors and Senior Managers
Coach other team members across IT in reviewing their plans and providing best-practice guidance
Work in partnership with vendors to deliver outcomes that help drive cost-effective digital capability for Fleet
Relationship (mostly Internal and or External) and Nature of Communication List the internal and external points of interactions that are required of this job.

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

ESSENTIAL – You must have these skills/experience
7+ years proven experience of IT project management capability delivering tangible, transformative business results
Experience of directly handling multiple projects in parallel – including managing plans/budgets
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - with a focus on finding practical and efficient solutions
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and software engineering fundamentals
Hands-on experience of managing multiple IT vendors and demonstrating how to develop strong partnerships
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, manage changing priorities, and maintain composure under pressure
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
DESIRABLE – It would be great if you also have these
Working experience of Agile methodologies and techniques (e.g. SCRUM, XP, Lean)
Experience delivering technology solutions in maritime, logistics, transportation, or other safety-critical regulated industries
Foundation-level Project Management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2
Cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud) or associated technical certifications
