Our custom in-house PARIS platform is deployed on over 630 ships, transforming how fleets operate across the globe. Your role is key in creating an intuitive interface for complex maritime data. We want PARIS to be more than just a data display – it should be a valuable tool that simplifies daily work and boosts efficiency. Your designs will bridge our advanced technology with practical operations on hundreds of ships worldwide. You'll ensure that when people use PARIS, they find it clear, helpful, and effective for their maritime tasks.
Key Roles and Responsibilities - Here's what you'll be doing
You'll work closely with our Product, Software, and QA teams to create an experience that's as robust as it is user-friendly:
Research & Design
• You’ll study maritime operations, and user needs to improve our platform
• You’ll make wireframes, sitemaps, and UI prototypes, testing designs with users to make sure they work well
• You’ll use data from Google Analytics to understand how people use PARIS
Collaborative Teamwork
• You’ll share and discuss ideas with the Design Lead and Product Team
• You’ll explain your designs clearly to all team members and stakeholders
• You’ll support Business Analysts in project management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and product launch
Organisation & Thinking Clearly
• You’ll work independently and stay organised
• You’ll use data to make decisions about what to improve first
• You’ll keep improving our design system as the PARIS ecosystem grows
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
ESSENTIAL - You MUST HAVE these qualifications
• You have at least 3 years of experience as a UX/UI designer, ideally with complex, data-heavy applications
• Your portfolio has case studies where you made complicated processes easy to use
• You have hands-on skills in modern design tools like Figma, FigJam, and Adobe XD
• You have experience working well with different teams
• You can communicate clearly in English – both written and verbally
DESIRABLE - It would be nice if
• You have worked on a design system for a growing platform
• You understand front-end styling (HTML and CSS)
• You have experience working in fast-paced teams
• You have experience with or interest in maritime technology or other complex industrial systems
