Job Position Summary

Experienced Senior Accountant responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities within the shipping industry, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to maritime accounting standards.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

•    Managing the full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations and month-end closings.
•    Monitoring expenses, accruals, and prepaid accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
•    Preparing, monitoring and reporting vessel budget variances. 
•    Presenting financial data & reports to clients and stakeholders. 
•    Following up on recovery of accounts receivable. 
•    Parterning with various functions within the organization, including Technical, Procurement, Manning etc.  
•    Collaborating closely with the Accounts Manager for ad-hoc analyses, reporting, and other tasks. 


Job Experience and Qualifications  

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 
•    Minimum 5,6 years experience. (preferably within the shipping sector) 
•    Knowlege of Oracle ERP Financials will be considered an advantage. 
•    Fluent in Engish. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and IT systems.  
•    Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
•    Positive, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced international shipping environment.
