Job Position Summary
Operation role managing contract execution and supporting the Procurement team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Managing contract execution (purchase contract), including offer making, contract making and terms negotiation, letter of credit terms negotiation, vessel nomination, commercial invoices checking, laytime calculation and payment following up etc.
• Identify the potential risks and resolve it or alert to the team to ensure smooth and timely execution
• Working closely with the procurement team to make execution in a commercial way
• Working closely with Traffic team in Hong Kong to ensure smooth operation of export bills and letters of credits
• Supporting Sales & Marketing side Ops team during their commercial negotiations, including data consolidation and analysis and pricing calculation etc.
• Bids submissions for cargoes either through email or e-tenders/ e-auctions.
• Business confirmations based on appropriate input of terms for each client.
• Contract terms negotiations with clients.
• Knowledge and understanding of contract terms for favorable settlement.
• Understanding and following vessel nomination procedures.
• Identify and direct attention to any anomalies in cargo quality.
• Coordination with clients and team for documents, discharge ports, agents, LOIs, LOI confirmations.
• Invoicing/ debit notes handling.
• Weekly compilation of Indian iron ore export and import data.
• Cargo quality analysis.
• Interpreting load port reports for relevant information.
• PowerPoint presentations for MIS.
• Payable/ receivable reporting.
• Manage Statutory and Legal requirements for the running of the Goa office.
• Manage office and travel expenses.
• Supervise office maintenance and upkeep.
• Purchasing of office/ pantry supplies.
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
Education / experience / technical skills required:
• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Major in international trade or a related field
• Proficiency in English, especially in reading and writing
• Good understanding of commodity trading and letter of credit terms
• Knowledge on iron ore, vessel chartering preferred
