Assistant Manager - Business Development

Job Position Summary
The Assistant Manager will maintain an overview of Company’s Commercial Leads; prepare, review and close new and existing commercial contracts; update companies CRM system; prepare for tenders and will keep the Director of Business updated with the progress on all matters assigned
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- For matters pertaining to Company Commercial activities, the executive will act as the link between the Director of Business Development and various departments at head office as well as satellite offices, located world-wide
- To actively participate in the preparation of budgets/tenders/Shipmanagement agreements for new clients and to renew the yearly contracts for existing ones
- To update companies CRM system regularly and run marketing campaigns in consultation with the Director of Business
- To gather market intelligence, review potential leads and monitor relevant industry-wide changes that affect the Company
- To set up regular plans / meetings with Company clientele around the world
Relationship:
- Mostly Internal wherein the executive will co-ordinate across departments – technical, crewing, operations, accounts, quality, compliance – in offices across FLEET for budget renewals, tender submission, following up on commercial leads.
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
- Degree holder related to Maritime/Logistic with understanding about Ship management/Shipping Industry
- 3-5 years of experience in Maritime / Ship Management Industry is preferred
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin
