Job Position Summary
The position is responsible for supporting the New Building with business development requirements, facilitating the increasing intake of new business orders and onboarding of new customers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- The role will be responsible for the preparation of relevant legal documents, including quotations, contracts, bidding documents, or other documents of similar nature, including document filing management
- Proactively cultivate and maintain customer relationships, fostering strong connections and understanding their needs to provide excellent service
- Independently handling of tendering procedure and communication with stake holders
- Stay up to date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to effectively identify and pursue new business prospects
- Work on ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Division, as required
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the organization
Relationship
INTERNAL:
- Integral member of the New Building HQ
- Acting as a team member, participating in internal discussions and activities with the team
- Working closely with other internal departments and building strong working relationships withing FML
- Cooperate with legal, accounting, guarantee, business development, TM
EXTERNAL:
- Interact with customers and support customer relationships, along with the Director and HQ of New Building
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships, for gathering relevant information and documents
- Work with the on-site new building team, to gather information and documents, as necessary
- Interact with contractors, classes, vendors and other external service providers, as is necessary
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
- A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree
- The new building technical education, naval architecture or machinery engineering would be preferred
- At least 3 or 5 years of executive work experience would be preferred
- Prior experience in support business development, relevant to the shipping industry would be preferred
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin are essential to succeed in this role. Mandarin level is understand tenders and other documents from mainland of China
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
