Job Position Summary  
Review of business contracts and vendor/ procurement agreements.  Advising on Indian legal issues faced by FMIPL and other Fleet Group companies.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in review of business contracts such as Shipman, Crewman, Superman and Managers Undertakings to highlight deviations
  • Review NDAs
  • Preparation of bi-lingual (Chinese & English) of documents
  • Assist in translation of English into Chinese and vice-a-versa
  • Assist in review of tender documents (including in Chinese)
  • Assist in communicating with Chinese counterparties
  • Maintain document version of templates and policies
  • Prepare execution versions of approved documents and ensure they are duly executed

 

Relationship

  • Direct and sole reporting line will be to the Group Legal Directors
  • Liaise with various stakeholders such as the business development team, EUETS/Fuel EU team, and New Building team

 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

  • University graduate with exposure to legal studies and/or formal legal training
  • 3–5 years’ relevant working experience
  • Shipping or maritime industry background strongly preferred
