Job Position Summary  

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior HR professional with several years of hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines who is motivated to step into a mid-level position, to be part of the global HR team of Fleet Management. As a Senior Executive, you will manage the end-to-end HR operations independently, serve as a trusted advisor to employees and be exposed to strategic HR Initiatives to strengthen organisation culture and enhance employee experience. This role offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation for long-term progression and make a meaningful impact in the second largest ship management company in the world.

 

This position will be hired under Fleet Ship Management Pte Ltd.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

Employee lifecycle & engagement

  • Drive end to end recruitment through government portals, ensuring compliance
  • Manage new joiner preboarding and onboarding formalities (e.g background checks, employment contracts, SAP
  • Success Factors updates, insurance preparation, induction briefing)
  • Manage promotions/PIPs, transfers and exits formalities
  • Design and execute staff engagement initiatives with Regional HR Manager and SG Country Head’s guidance
  • Proactively gather employee feedback, identify patterns and issues to provide actionable insights to inform HR decision making and continuous improvement

 

HR Operations & compliance

  • Provide comprehensive support to employees on all aspects of the employee lifecycle in accordance with the SG employment laws and company policies, while progressively expanding responsibilities to achieve greater impact.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records in SuccessFactors and ensure proper e-filing for all SG HR related matters (e.g. P-files, events)
  • Manage issuance of company documents, global transfers including visa applications/renewals and coordination of expatriates’ travel arrangements
  • Manage statutory surveys, reporting and claims to government authorities.
  • Manage compensation and benefits matters (e.g. payroll, tax declaration and insurance renewals)
  • Prepare HR documentation and support audit requirements
  • Coordinate data collation and HR administrative tasks for Singapore and Philippines as assigned

 

Projects & Strategic initiatives

  • Actively participate in global HR initiatives, process improvements, and employee experience projects, as assigned

 

Relationship

  • INTERNAL: Fleet Employees, IT, India & Hong Kong HR team
  • EXTERNAL: Ministry of Manpower, Maritime Port Authority, Unions

 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in HR generalist experience
  • In-depth understanding of the Singapore Employment laws
  • Experience in MOM work pass matters and SAP successfactors would be advantage
  • Degree holder in Human Resource/ Business Administration · Proficient in MS Office 365
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as a team player, manage multiple priorities and proactively foster positive relationships to mobilise stakeholders toward desired outcomes
