Job Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to chart the course of our fleet-management ecosystem—the digital bridge connecting office crews, seafarers and vessel owners
Navigating the full lifecycle from uncharted discovery to deep-water delivery, you will:
- Steer research-driven decisions and reinforce our Fleet Design System—the blueprint for our digital hull.
- Integrate AI‑powered capabilities into our flagship platform supporting 600+ ships and 25,000 seafarers.
- Empower owners with Strategic Command to manage cost, risk and operational clarity.
- Partner across technical crews to deliver seaworthy, mission‑critical features.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Product UI/UX Designer, your typical day will include:
1.🧭 Charting & Delivering the Voyage (End‑to‑End Design + Design System
- Own the full design process across web and mobile — from research and IA through high‑level concepts and detailed design
- Drive structured alignment across IA, information flow, high‑level flows, and detailed designs.
- Balance user needs with business goals, technical constraints, and fleet‑wide operational realities
- Strengthen/evolve our design system to maintain consistency and quality, ensuring component consistency with developers
2. 🏗️ Keeping the Digital Shipyard Shipshape (Workflow, Handoffs & Quality + Collaboration)
- Proactively manage timelines, identify risks early, and chart remedy paths
- Contribute measurable improvements in design workflows and project KPIs
- Use AI‑supported workflows to accelerate prototyping, ideation and pattern generation
- Inspire stakeholders and cross‑functional partners by showcasing best-in-class UX, promoting best practices, and improving collaboration rituals
- Mentor junior designers and ensure design quality across teams
3. 🔭 Surveying the Seas Ahead (Research, Evaluation & Analytics)
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including user interviews, persona mapping, landscape review, and summative testing
- Translate insights into actionable design strategies, journey maps and opportunity frameworks
- Perform Google Analytics (GA4)‑driven usage analysis, evaluate live behaviours, and design tagging strategies to guide data-informed product improvements
4. ⚡ Powering the Future Fleet (AI‑First Experiences & Innovation)
- Create AI‑supported or AI‑first workflows with probabilistic outcomes that elevate user efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Design advanced data visualisation and analytics views for tactical decision‑making
- Monitor industry trends, conduct competitive analysis, and embed innovation into the product roadmap
- Evaluate AI‑generated insights and integrate them into design strategy

- Product Teams (based in HK & India); Development, Ops & Support (based in HK & India);

- Interaction with suppliers and/or third-party solutions
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
ESSENTIAL:
- 4–7+ years’ experience in UX/Product Design for complex, multi‑platform systems
- Portfolio showing systems‑level thinking, research‑led decisions, and measurable impact.
- Strong skills in research planning, usability testing, behavioural analytics, and insight translation.
- Proven ability to present and defend design decisions to senior stakeholders with clear storytelling
- Demonstrated contribution to product strategy and KPI‑aligned UX outcomes
- Excellent collaboration and facilitation across engineering, product, marketing, and leadership teams
- Expertise in Figma, component‑based design, and confidence with (or motivation to learn) AI/LLM‑driven workflows
DESIRABLE:
- Experience designing AI‑supported experiences, data visualisation dashboards, or mobile-first solutions
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript enough to collaborate effectively with development teams
- Experience in maritime, logistics, or safety‑critical environments
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience
