Job Position Summary: The primary function of the Senior Accounts Executive is to handle Crew Payroll functions, Crew Allotments, Loyalty Bonus Payments, SafeR payments which involves meticulous checking of bank details and finalization of Portage Bill Reports.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

Knowledge of CBAs of managed vessels by Group for checking the applicable wage scales and statutory payments • Compile and organize data for accurate preparation of Portage Bills for managed vessels.

• Collaborate with relevant Departments/Vessels to ensure all necessary information is collected for payroll processing

• Verify and check cross-reference data to maintain the highest level of accuracy in Portage Bill finalization and generation of Portage Bill Reports

• Thoroughly review and verify bank details provided by FPD / Vessels for payment processing. Identify discrepancies or errors in bank information and communicate with FPD / Vessels for correction

• Ensure compliance with security protocols while handling sensitive data.

• Check for calculation and timely payment of loyalty bonuses to eligible seafarers and coordinate with FPD for any discrepancies

• Maintain proper documentation of loyalty bonus / Safe R disbursements for accounting and reporting purposes.

• Preparation of Payment File for Crew Allotments, Balance of Wages, Loyalty Bonus, Safe R incentives and co-ordinate both with internal / inter departments for approvals and timely remittance by out-sourced vendors.

 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications: 

B.Com graduate or Inter CA.

• A minimum of 4 to 5 years' experience in Portage Bill preparation and payment processing from established Ship Management Companies

• Proficiency in working on financial software particularly related to Payroll Processing, MIS systems and Advanced Excel functions

• Strong understanding of all applicable CBAs and analytical approach of checking of Wage Scales, Social Allowances and Union Dues payment

• Good communication skills for coordinating with inter departments, Masters on Vessels and external parties.
