Job Position Summary

Safe R+ department is a key department in the Organization. The department is responsible for reducing the crew injuries on board by conducting behavioral change trainings so that there is a desired behavioral change observed and thereby reduction in careless injuries. 

 

The SafeR+ Manager plays a primary role of leading the department and providing direction to junior management and personnel.

She / He leads the department and is responsible for: 
-Content development for Company’s Behavior Based Training Program SafeR+  
-Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc. 
-Supervise training delivery for the above 
-Oversee implementation of  SafeR+ tools on board 
-Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement 
-Assist head of Fleet care to prepare SafeR+ program budgets 

 

This role demands the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, while handling multiple projects. 


Key Roles and Responsibilities

-SafeR+ Manager will be regularly interacting with, Tech Superintendents, Masters across the Vessel managed by Fleet, Dispatch team, Fleet care team, In-house clinical psychologist ,FMTI faculties and all seniors /Leaders across Fleet & accounts. 
-SafeR+ Manager also handles queries from owners with respect to program details of behavior-based safety program 
Regular follow-ups will be carried out to ensure effective and extensive usage of Positive feedback cards, highlighting instances where attitudinal changes observed. 
-SafeR+ Manger is responsible for MIS of the department, recording and analyzing the feedback after each training intervention, provide details and feedback as and when required to Fleet care Head/seniors 
-SafeR+ Manager will assist in Incident investigation to ascertain Human behavior & recommend corrections if required. 
-SafeR+ Manager will carry out analysis of human injuries & recommend corrective measures basis T-CUP module. 
-SafeR+ Manager will also be responsible for carrying out onboard SafeR+ campaigns in consultation with Fleet Care Head 
SafeR+ manager will be responsible for standardizing Training across all global offices ( Viz. Manila, China, Cyprus Turkey) 
-The SafeR+ Manager plays a primary role of leading the department and providing direction to junior management and personnel 
-The SafeR+ Manager will be responsible for Content development for Company’s Behavior Based Training Program SafeR+  
-Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc. 
-Supervise training delivery for the above Modules. 
-SafeR+ manager will dispense SafeR+ workshops to Seafarers & shore staff and co-ordinates the awarding of incentives to seafarer families.  
-SafeR+ manager will be responsible for Maintaining records of SafeR+ incentives.   
-Oversee implementation of SafeR+ tools on board 
-Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement 
-Ensure strict implementation of the STAR reporting measures. 
-Assist head of Fleet care to prepare SafeR+ program budgets 
-SafeR+ Manager will also be responsible for carrying out onboard SafeR+ campaigns in consultation with Fleet Care Head. 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

The Head of SafeR+ must have a bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Business, or holding Atleast Ch/officer or 2/Engr COC, Maritime Background An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position. 
-Candidates having undergone ‘Train the Trainers’ program would be preferred other things being equal. 
-Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
