Job Position Summary 

 

The primary responsibility of an Account Executive is to prepare and manage the financial statements reporting for the vessels. An Account Executive ensures the client’s reports are delivered on time, on budget and up to the client's standards.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities   
 
Responsible for vessel accounting of at least 15 vessels right from raising fund request, day-to-day accounting of invoices, month-end adjustment entries, etc. 
•    Maintain close and effective communication with Clients to understand and meet their requirements in terms of financial reporting for the vessels 
•    Prepare monthly vessel financial accounts, cash flow statements, budget variance reports, etc. and submit to Managers for review 
•    Ensure timely submission on reports and responses externally with clients and internally with other departments

 

Relationship

 

INTERNAL:
•    All internal departments like Technical, Manning, Quality Safety, Purchasing, etc. on vessel accounting matters

 

EXTERNAL:
•    Ship Owners on various matters like reporting, clarification on queries, raising the fund requests and settlement of accounts on periodical basis

 

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications   

 

•    Degree in Accounting & Finance or related fields 
•    Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, prior experience in Shipping Industry is preferred
•    Solid knowledge of Financial Reports, Cash Flow Reports, Budget V/S Actual Reports, etc. 
•    Working knowledge of ERP like Oracle, SAP, etc. is preferred
•    Good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office 
•    Good command of written and spoken English

•    Able to multi-task and meet tight reporting deadlines
