Job Position Summary 
Generally responsible for the over-all operations of the Container and Tanker Crewing Department

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities  

 

  •  Communicates with Head Office and other FML Manning Offices re Crewing matters
  • Communicates with vessels (All Containers and Tankers).
  • Receives advice re vessel requirement for Engine Department (All Containers and Tankers).
  • Maintains active file/crew vacation list.
  • Contacts candidates by phone and/or by other means.
  • Conducts general interview with ex-crews and/or new applicants. Schedules them for further interview, and if necessary, call and inform Hongkong Office for their (new applicants) further interview.
  • Prepares and replies to messages.
  • Proposes candidates (Officers and crew) to HK Office and other FML Manning Offices.
  • Verifies the authenticity of data in the application form (Document verification)
  • Receives calls from ships' personnel re crew change inquiries, updates and gives advices in handling some emergency situations.

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications   

  • Preferably graduate of Maritime Studies with experience in handling crewing department
