Recruitment Officer (Contract)

Job Position Summary
Provide an overview of the primary purpose and function of this job.
Overall in-charge of the recruiting and sourcing competent seafarers for deployment
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible to recruit and source out competent and qualified seafarers for the Company.
- Visits places that applicable for recruiting seafarers i.e. training centers, dormitories or visits homes of seafarers.
- Supervise the output of recruitment from Branches.
- Updates the status of recruitment report and provides details on salaries and present demand in the market
- Coordinates with the Crewing Managers for securing qualified seafarers.
- Prepares weekly and monthly recruitment report and distribute to Management.
- Review and checks applicants resume prior endorsing to Crewing Section.
- Negotiates with new applicants with the approval of Fleet Manager.
- Attends to regular meeting with the Owner’s Representative, Admin and Fleet Managers to discuss priority crew requirements.
- Responsible for the monitoring of job portals like Seaman’s Jobsites, etc.
- Initiate quality improvements for the Company and responsible for the implementation of Company’s Quality management system.
- Ensure consistent adherence to the Quality Policy and attainment of QMS Objectives
- Set the quality objectives, action plans and resource requirements to meet the QMS requirements of respective department
- Ensure implementation of process and service standards
- Determine opportunities for improvement in respective processes, products, output, and services to ensure continuous customer satisfaction
- Ensure that corrective and/or preventive actions are provided, implemented, monitored and evaluated
- Brand Building Endorser
- To perform other duties as may be assigned by the management.
Relationship (mostly Internal and or External) and Nature of Communication
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation or any 4-year course
- Holder of COC - OIC - Operational Level
- Has sailed as Officer-in-Charge of a navigational watch for at least 3 years.
- Has worked as Recruitment Officer on a Manning Agency handling vessels for at least one year, optional
- Knowledgeable in the operations of a manning agency
